Consulting the community to get the correct fitness equipment
Historically, very little public consultation is done for public Outdoor Fitness areas. So they met with KOMPAN and discussed all the different options and the wide range of fitness equipment that was available to them within the market. Questions asked included: What were they actually looking to achieve? What outcomes did they really want?
The ‘free to use’ facility is now enjoyed by people of all levels and fitness abilities, visiting at all times of the day. It is very popular with parents that have just finished the school run. There is even a local resident who is using the equipment as part of their rehabilitation.
The unique KOMPAN app showing users how to use the equipment and track their progress, plus the recommended workout routines has gone down well with the local community. Some have even commented how it is better option than paying out for a gym membership
