Severn Trent, Foremark Reservoir

Foremark Reservoir is a fantastic outdoor setting for people to come and visit throughout the year.

Severn Trent wanted to create an oasis within the woodland on site, so that as children walk through the woodland, they get the opportunity to see all the pieces of equipment just starting to appear through the trees. They wanted to give the area a new lease of life and create a destination play area that children, and parents, would want to come to time and time again

The 7m-high GIANTS unit provides the ‘wow’ factor and is the focal point of the play area, allowing multiple users at any onetime, offering balancing, climbing, sliding, and imaginative playsimultaneously.

The inclusion of a Giants unit gives the playground that extra WOW factor as it begins to appear from behind the trees as you walk around the reservoir.

The GIANTS are to playgrounds what skyscrapers are to a city. Tall and impressive, they dominate, the sheer thrill of playing seven or nine metres up into the sky is an irresistible magnet. But the GIANTS are not just for the young Bravehearts, they are for everyone since safety is part of every level. The layered construction always means it is more stumble than tumble. Enclosed in a variety of see-through and themed panels, children from six to twelve can navigate their way to the top. There they decide on the most fun route down, back step-by-step or use the tall tunnel that halfway down becomes an open slide.
