Buccaneer Bay, Dartford Borough Council
The leader of Dartford Borough Council, Councilor Jeremy Kite MBE was the driver of this huge playground refurbishment project (one of the best and largest that KOMPAN UK has been involved in). Dartford wanted to work with the best playground manufacturers and designers to fulfil the dreams of the leader and create a unique and immersive playground that would benefit the children of the borough for years to come.

Telford Town Park
With this being the most used play area in the borough, Telford and Wrekin Council wanted to produce a bespoke themed and inclusive play space. The design for their flagship park needed to be accessible to all ages and abilities.
The KOMPAN design presented, reflected the local history of the area. This included a miniature version of the Telford Iron Bridge using a Corocord piece. Inclusive items including a roundabout, spinner bowl and trampoline were added, plus interactive play panels.

Voss Activity Park, Norway
Outdoor fitness with a fantastic view!
This activity park close to Vangsvatnet in Voss, Norway has quickly become the community’s preferred workout place and the heart of the town. The activity park is so well equipped that during Spring and Summer, the park is the go-to location for boot camp classes from the local fitness centre.

Withrow Park, Toronto, Canada
Withrow Park in Toronto, Canada proves that cooperation between KOMPAN, landscape architects, and municipalities results in great projects that make communities happier and healthier. It was a collaboration that was strengthened by considering the wants of the children themselves. The result? A revitalised park full of adventurous and innovative play; the perfect way to celebrate the start of Withrow Park’s second century.

Covington City, Indiana, USA
When asked to draw their dream playground, the children of Covington put a castle at the top of their fun list. With a little help from KOMPAN's Robinia range, their wish was granted.

Lincoln Park, Boston, USA
Boston, Massachusetts wanted to make sure that all residents lived a maximum of 10-minutes' walk away from their nearest recreational area. This goal has been achieved with the installation of Lincoln Park. Located in Somerville, this exciting and colourful playground offers locals respite from the surrounding urbanised environment. The densely populated area has limited space for outside activities, so creative solutions were needed to create a space where residents of all age groups could come together as a community.

Active City Centre in Grindsted, Denmark
The municipality of Billund, Denmark wanted to breathe new life into the city centre by installing an attractive outdoor play area. The ambition was to increase footfall and extend the length of visitors' trips to the city, with hopes to bring in more custom for local businesses.

Ramsden Park, Toronto, Canada
The landscape architect behind the new playground in Ramsden Park, Toronto, had a vision: to create something new and exciting whilst also incorporating the city’s heritage. The new playground uses yellow colours and themes from Toronto’s history of brick, and has maintained several of the timeless play items from their old KOMPAN playground, like the iconic Crazy Hen. After years of playful enjoyment in its former location, the first of the revolutionary springers is still in great shape and has become part of the new playground.
