Hallfields Primary School

This is the second playground that Hallfields Primary School have commissioned KOMPAN to develop. having already worked with us on one successful project, when the school had realised the budget to undertake the next phase of work for their Year 1 playground, they didnt hesitate to commission KOMPAN again. Their existing Year 1 playground was devoid of stimulation, consisting of only a blank canvas of tarmac over which wetpour rubber surfacing became the preferred choice for safety and longevity

KOMPAN created a bespoke wetpour design whereby a Castle themed, 4-tower multiplay unit was positioned a ‘Wow’ centre piece, providing the children with a variety of play value equipment. In addition, KOMPAN installed a train, station play house, bridge, sand & water play, mud kitchen, music panel and story teller area for continued diversity in learning.

The playground equipment allows children to use imaginative and creative play by utilising the sand and water play and mud kitchen. This allows the user to develop their social and language skills, thus boosting their confidence.

With a traditional school playground timber trim trail, children can waste a large proportion of their break time queuing at the beginning of the trail waiting to finally get their turn. Even when they get on they can only get to the point where the child in front is.
