Robinia Play Systems

Simply extraordinary

On paper Robinia Play Systems seem simplistic – add children and they become a hive of extraordinary activity. The Robinia version of the Play Systems differs from more traditional design in that rather than four supporting posts, it has three. Perhaps that's the origin of its more simplistic look. Keeping it simple has advantages in that the triangular shape is geometrically strong and the reduction of one support pole on each tower means quicker and cheaper installation. The triangular shape creates a more open, more tempting lure to play. There are no hidden corners. It’s very embracive, encouraging communication and participation. The combination of natural Robinia and ropes allows the sense of being close to nature, in fact being placed on the edge of woodland is a particularly popular location. We encourage you to click and to be inspired by the amazing playgrounds we have installed around the world.

A Robinia Play System it a quiet gem and the perfect place to add products from the Robinia Springers range. The addition of a Bug Springer, or two, really adds variety and character to this compact playground. The Robinia tree is a triumph of nature. As a tree, at every level it performs. It grows in poor soils, it feeds nitrogen into the earth encouraging other plants, it flowers to be the source of Acadia honey, its leaves breathe out Co2. It adapts well in urban areas, gracing many boulevards and streets. When cut as timber, the stump regenerates and grows back quickly. It is highly sustainable. The timber is fine-grained, strong and durable - the perfect material for play features. Another plus aspect that displays itself with Robinia is that it dictates how it is used. Each piece is unique, bringing a degree of individuality to village play.

      FAQ

      How do we get started?

Finding the right products from the extensive range is the starting point. Our very competent and experienced support team can then help you translate your wish list into your unique outdoor solution. Feel free to contact us and ask all your questions or to receive a quote.

How are the products shipped and installed?

Once fully assembled and approved at the factory the products are disassembled in large modules and shipped to the site to be re-assembled with help from lifting equipment.

How do we ensure to maintain the nice colours and wooden glow?

KOMPAN offers a programme on multi levels to assist customers with playground maintenance.

Can the combinations be designed in more accessible versions?

KOMPAN offers a ramp system that can be tailored to any solution requested. A ramp provides access to elevated activities for children of all abilities and also opens-up an enlarged number of ground level activities.

What type of rope is used in the climbing structures?

KOMPAN uses a special ‘Hercules’-type of rope with galvanized six-stranded steel wires. Each strand is tightly wrapped with PES yarn, which is melted onto each individual strand. The ropes are highly wear and vandalism resistant and can be replaced at site if needed.
