The Giant Bamboo Trail provides thrilling, responsive challenges for children. The variety of play activities make them want to come back again and again for more fun. The nets act as a big trim trail and encourage games such as "the ground is made of lava". Lots of responsive, swaying and bouncing nets demand concentrated movement, adjusting for different rhythms of climbing. The nets train agility, balance and coordination skills. Apart from being great fun, the Orbital Hangout Steps, the Sputnik, the Horizontal Net and the Coconut Rope allow children to take a break and socialise or cooperate together to move around the structure. This develops important social-emotional skills such as turn-taking, helping and sharing. All in all, a fun trail that will attract children again and again!

Play Value

Play value is the value gained from play, the value that makes the child “want” or developmentally “need” to undertake the activity and thus gives the play item holding power. Play value can be described very precisely in developmental terms, looking into the human physical, cognitive, social and emotional developmental stages.

Swaying seesaw

Physical

the Swaying Seesaw is a challenging training of balance, spatial awareness, and timing: to bounce each other up and down in this link is a balance quest that takes handholds, hence the supportive ropes. The skills trained here are fundamental for navigating traffic safely.

Social-Emotional

passing others on the bridge intensely trains cooperation and communication skills.

Tensegrity

Physical

the twisted ropes that sway intensely train agility, balance and coordination, the ABCs of motor skills. All major muscles are trained when holding tight to cross the link.

Social-Emotional

cooperation skills are needed here to cross from both sides simultaneously: concentration on holding tight when crossing calls for precise communication.

Orbital hangout steps

Physical

the spheres invite seated and standing swaying, balancing and bouncing. This supports children's proprioception, which helps them navigate surroundings confidently. Core and arm muscles are strengthened when holding tight and moving between spheres.

Social-Emotional

children cooperate, turn-take and consider each other when balancing between spheres. This supports playful socializing.

Swaying bridge

Physical

the asymmetrically placed steps are suspended in ropes that sway. These two features train balance and cross coordination, both important for body control and other skills such as sitting still on a chair.

Social-Emotional

passing others on the bridge stimulates cooperation and positive exchange.

Coconut rope

Physical

balance and coordination is supported when walking the swaying rope. A good sense of balance transfers to other skills such as sitting still on a chair. Bone density is developed when jumping off.

Social-Emotional

children swaying together on the rope experience their own and others' movements. This spurs cooperation and consideration, e.g. when passing others on the rope.

Rope slalom

Physical

agility, balance and coordination when climbing through link, swaying on ropes. Arm, leg and core muscles are strengthened. These are important for posture control and also sitting still.

Social-Emotional

turn-taking and consideration of others when climbing through. These skills are hard to teach but easy to learn in play.

Rope screw

Physical

rope walking is a challenging training of the sense of balance. The gently swaying rope adds to the challenge. When training the sense of balance this way, children also train their concentration skills.

Tightrope

Physical

children train cross-body coordination and muscle strength. The big meshes allow for climbing and crawling through, training proprioception and spatial awareness.

Social-Emotional

the big meshes allow for more children to be together, sharing.

Satellite Pod

Physical

sense of balance, space, timing and rhythm are trained intensely when standing in the bouncy den.

Social-Emotional

sheltered meeting and resting point, stimulating social interaction. Room for more children to sit together and talk.

Key Features

General PES rope

Ropes are made of UV-stabilized PES rope strands with inner steel cable reinforcement. The polyester wrapping is inductively melted onto each strand to ensure excellent wear and tear resistance.

COR_S-clamps

Corocord 'S' clamps are used as universal connections in Corocord products. 8mm stainless steel rods with rounded edges are pressed around the ropes with a special hydraulic press, making them the ideal connector: safe, durable and vandalism-proof, all while allowing the typical movement of rope play structures.

General_EcoCore

Panels of 19mm EcoCore™. EcoCore™ is a highly durable, eco friendly material, which is not only recyclable after use, but also consists of a core produced from 100% recycled material.

COR Loops steel

Colored steel components have a base of hot dip galvanization and a powder coated top finish. This provides an ultimate corrosion resistance in all climates around the world. Other steel surfaces are hot dip galvanized inside and outside with lead free zinc.

Corocord CRP Smart Clamps

The Corocord Smart Clamps are carefully designed to ensure superior flexibility in high-quality aluminum material. The smart clamps are attached around the post with four steel bolts. Unused attachment points are closed with PA caps.

COR_PP rope

The PP rope in coconut style has a diameter of 150 mm. The internal steel wire core has thimbles at both ends, which serve as attachments for the rope to existing connecting elements.
