Bonnet Springs Park

An Oasis of Nature Play
Formerly an abandoned rail yard, Bonnet Springs Park invites visitors to connect with nature through 168 acres of blended urban and natural elements. The green space, named "" by USA Today in 2025, features multiple play spaces nestled throughout its canopy of trees. Here, children and caretakers alike will discover the joys and benefits of time spent together outdoors on a variety of wooden play spaces—made to blend into their natural surroundings while standing out to spark wonder.

Meet Mabel the Owl & Catch the Train
Mabel the Mosaic Owl, a large custom wooden play structure, greets families upon arrival with her curious, inviting gaze. With a staircase, climbing walls, and rope nets, children can get creative to find new ways to reach the top! After rounds of active play, nets and hammocks inside the structure and underneath the wings are great for quieter moments of rest.
Further down the trail is the Robinia train play structure—a playground that celebrates Bonnet Springs Park's railyard roots. With two cars of rope and tactical play activities, children climb aboard for a delighting journey of dramatic and cognitive play.
Slides, sand excavators, and more freestanding play equipment are found along other sections of the trail, inviting children to enjoy moments of play individually or with friends.
