Lorikeet Park
Attracting New Families with a Custom Play Space
Skyridge real estate developers approached KOMPAN to design an outdoor play space as part of a large residential development on the Gold Coast. One of many outdoor playgrounds within the new community, they wanted Lorikeet Park to be a major landmark playground due to its hilltop location overlooking the Gold Coast. With this in mind, our designers created a lorikeet bird-themed robinia play structure to represent the local wildlife. They also prioritized an inclusive play space for children of all ages and abilities.

Innovative Playground Equipment & a Delighted Community
KOMPAN delivered this project from concept to completion, including playground design, supply of all , and installation. Developed through close collaboration between KOMPAN play experts and the customer, the project was completed on schedule to align with Skyridge’s timeline—resulting in an inclusive, responsibly made play space designed for the entire community.
To create a true WOW‑factor, the project incorporates multiple , most notably a custom lorikeet robinia structure and Sky Walk towers that enhance—rather than disrupt—the surrounding natural environment. One standout feature is the Sky Walk towers, which integrate a mature tree through their center, bringing a key client vision to life through thoughtful design execution.
The result is a striking demonstration of KOMPAN’s ability to transform complex ideas into buildable, nature‑integrated solutions. The customer and community are thrilled with the outcome, and the playground has quickly become a favorite—keeping kids playing non‑stop.
What steps were involved in this project?
After receiving the inquiry, our local expert arranged a site visit to meet with the customer. During the visit, they assessed the space, discussed the customer’s vision, and provided professional guidance on the best solutions to meet their needs.
Once we gathered all the necessary details, our team carefully crafted a bespoke design that aligned with the customer's vision. Every element was thoughtfully considered to ensure the design not only met their functional and aesthetic requirements but also stayed within budget.
A mutually convenient installation date was agreed upon with the customer, ensuring minimal disruption. Once finalized, all equipment was carefully delivered and comprehensive safety measures were put in place to protect the public and maintain a secure working environment. With everything in place, our expert installation team got to work.
The project was successfully completed within the agreed-upon timeframe. Once the installation was finalized, our experienced inspection team conducted a thorough safety inspection, carrying out detailed checks on all equipment, surfacing, and structural elements. This rigorous process ensured that the site met all industry standards and safety regulations.
