The FitBLOCK Fund does not support projects that have already been initiated or established. Funding is for new projects from ideation and planning to completion and beyond. Eligible applications should outline a proposed FitBLOCK project that has not yet begun, allowing KOMPAN to support the project from concept through implementation and long-term community impact.

It is a requirement that a minimum of 50% of your own finances or other financing is included, regardless of whether you provide your own funds or external funds. This is a prerequisite for being considered for funding support. All applications will be assessed based on, among other things, realistic budgets.

You can apply for funding covering 10–20% of the project cost. Applications must present a realistic budget and project timeline. Evaluation will prioritize proposals that demonstrate feasibility and readiness for implementation.

Applications are accepted from nonprofit organizations, associations, self-governing and public institutions, municipalities, schools and others with plans to realize or update an outdoor fitness area. Applications are only accepted for new projects that have not yet been initiated and are assessed based on objective criteria such as the project's quality, budget, time horizon and the fund's focus areas to ensure transparency and fair treatment. Support can only be applied for by completing the application form and only during periods when the application round is active. To be considered for support, the project must have secured co-financing in the form of other or own finances, regardless of whether the funds are internal or external. KOMPAN must be included as a full or partial supplier in the project. Other suppliers may also be included, as long as the project as a whole meets the fund's criteria. Meeting these requirements is not in itself a guarantee of support, as all applications are assessed based on an overall assessment that includes several elements.
