Physical Activity Among Preschool Children

Outdoor play is the key to more physical activity in preschools

In order to positively influence and improve the physical activity level of preschoolers, free outdoor play in well-planned play areas is key.

The World Health Organization recommends that all children and adolescents should participate in moderate to vigorous physical activity for at least 60 minutes a day. The following study examines the physical activity levels of preschoolers who spend most of their time outdoors in well-planned activity areas vs those who don't.
