Boyd Hill Nature Preserve

In Florida’s most densely populated county, you’ll find Boyd Hill Nature Preserve with 245 acres of pristine Florida wilderness. The Preserve has roughly 6 miles of trails through a variety of natural habitats that are used for environmental education programs and school field trips. In the middle of this pristine wilderness, where alligators and birds roam free, you’ll find one of the most unique nature themed playgrounds around.

The organic Robinia utilized in this playground fits perfectly into the wild nature of Boyd Hill Nature Preserve and is often used as part of environmental education programs for children. The playground's natural materials invite children to learn about nature and how to preserve it, all while having fun and enjoying themselves.

The children love the new Robinia playground, with play towers, wooden play houses, and obstacle course playground equipment that allows them to explore and play anything from hide and seek to a "ninja warrior" competition. The rich variety of activities in the obstacle course helps children improve important physical skills, such as balance and cross-coordination skills. The obstacle course also helps children train in social-emotional skills, such as cooperation and turn-taking. Spinner plates and Springers can help children from a young age train balance and spatial awareness.
