Mountaineer

Colour METAL GREY

Loading Designer
With its cool, thrilling climbs, the Mountaineer attracts world explorers among school-age children. The variety of challenging climbs and crawls via nets, tubes, and Jacob’s Ladder will make children return for more play again and again. The Jacob’s Ladder has a special feature in the twist of the 3rd step: this makes a change of foot position necessary to go further. The mastery of this proprioceptive action is only possible for children of a certain age. There are other ways to climb and the variation stimulates children’s balance and cross-coordination. These motor skills are important for children’s physical confidence and their security in moving, for instance in the street. The Mountaineer is a challenging, fun meeting point for active socializing with friends.

Play Value

Play value is the value gained from play, the value that makes the child 'want' or developmentally 'need' to undertake the activity and thus gives the play item holding power. Play value can be described very precisely in developmental terms, looking into the human physical, cognitive, social and emotional developmental stages.
