Colour PINE WOOD

Loading Designer
The Nature Range is made from beautiful pinewood. Timber play items are always a great addition to any playground, providing a rich and inviting new material for children to touch, feel and play with. The Explorer Bridge attracts toddlers to try ut their balancing skills, running back and forth repeatedly. The main part of the attraction is the responsiveness of the bridge planks: for every step the child takes, important physical skills are trained: it uses the sense of balance, tensioning feet, legs, core, and arms to adjust equilibrium. For less trained bridge walkers the handholds add support. Running or walking the Explorer Bridge is a social experience. Children feel the movements of the other children o the bridge. This feature adds to the physical challenge of keeping the balance when passing on the Explorer Bridge. It additionally spurs socio-emotional life skills when making friends through play.

Play Value

Play value is the value gained from play, the value that makes the child 'want' or developmentally 'need' to undertake the activity and thus gives the play item holding power. Play value can be described very precisely in developmental terms, looking into the human physical, cognitive, social and emotional developmental stages.
