WOW: Toddler’s Paradise is a safe, scaffolding world of play for toddlers. Shown here in a classic courtyard, this design would also suit a nursery, pre-school, park or public square. The playful theme and colours invite children to play. The play equipment is placed on different sides of the “river” which adds an extra layer to the solution. Now you also have to cross the “river” to get back and forth between the different play areas.
STAY: The variation of play equipment provides multiple ways of playing. The playground makes space for social play, role-play and the opportunity to play alone. There are physical challenges such as the swing, the carousel, and the slide, but also areas that will stimulate the children’s senses. For example, the music instrument and sand and water play. Benches and edges create the opportunity for parents and grandparents to sit and relax while watching the children play. A playground in a courtyard is also a place where you can meet other parents and neighbours.
DEVELOP: Toddler’s Paradise is divided into smaller areas, creating different atmospheres for learning. The children develop motor skills by swinging, sliding, and balancing. The development of cognitive skills is supported by exploring music, sand and water. Much of the play equipment is accessible by children of all abilities.
