Humber Bridge Country Park Fitness Area, East Riding of Yorkshire Council & The Rotary Club of Hull
Welcoming and unique fitness area of all ages, ability or fitness levels
KOMPAN were initially approached by East Riding of Yorkshire Council to bid for an outdoor fitness site at the iconic Humber Bridge Country Park. Part of the brief was that part of the car park would need to be removed and returned back to grass. The project was funded by both East Riding of Yorkshire Council and The Rotary Club of Hull.
They wanted to create a welcoming and unique fitness area where everyone could use the equipment regardless of age, ability or fitness levels. An exciting and innovative outdoor fitness facility was created using equipment such as the Cross Trainer Pro which has touch screen capability and built in variable resistance.
Cardio, strength and calisthenics have also been catered for in the fitness equipment selection. The colour scheme chosen is a bright orange to compliment the backdrop of the surrounding wooded area. The installation was quickly completed, on budget, and the feedback from the local community has been amazing. Visitors of all ages and abilities have been using the equipment regularly to get fit.
Supported by the KOMPAN Fitness App
The facility is free to use and comes with the dedicated KOMPAN Fitness App to instruct users on how to use the equipment. This also includes suggested workout routines which have gone down extremely well with the local community. The new fitness area is fast becoming the local fitness hub to go to and is always a constant hive of activity!
