Forest Tower with Curly Climber

Colour ROBINIA TURQUISE

Loading Designer
The Forest Tower with Curly Climber is a fantastic upgrade from your classic ladder and slide combo. The net climb entry is a fun and challenging way to get to the play hut, where the children can play in the tower with stunning blue roof and coloured walls, then take either the curly climber or the slide to escape. The structure is made of natural Robinia timber, which provides an organic structure that can either blend into or stand out from your surrounds. Children can touch and feel the timber while playing, observing how nature inspiration interacts with the built environment.

Play Value

Play value is the value gained from play, the value that makes the child 'want' or developmentally 'need' to undertake the activity and thus gives the play item holding power. Play value can be described very precisely in developmental terms, looking into the human physical, cognitive, social and emotional developmental stages.

Climbing net

Physical

the inclined net supports the upward climbing movement of the body. The net supports cross-body coordination, which impacts coordination of the right and left part of brain, fundamental for other skills such as the ability to read. The asymmetry of the net challenges the children's climbing.

Counter

Physical

invites climbing over and across, developing cross coordination. This supports cross-modal perception, great for skills such as being able to read.

Social-Emotional

sharing and cooperation from both sides create a social scenario supporting communication and cooperation.

Cognitive

the counter invites dramatic play scenarios such as playing shop. This stimulates language and communication.

Curly climber

Physical

supports coordination going down, sense of balance when rotating and arm muscles for holding tight.

Social-Emotional

empathy stimulated by turn-taking.

Cognitive

logical thinking when placing arms and legs right for rotating downwards.

Slide

Physical

develops spatial awareness, sense of balance and trains core muscles when sitting upright going down.

Social-Emotional

empathy stimulated by turn-taking.
