As a rule a thumb a commercial playground installation takes approx. 2-8 weeks. It consists of several stages where the parties involved decide upon installation type, preparation of the site, safety surfacing, landscaping, and ensuring commercial playground safety regulations are compliant.

The Different Stages of Installing a Playground
1. Pre-installation site visit
In this stage, we will do a site visit to ensure that your area is prepared for installation. This involves ensuring accessibility for trucks, bobcats, or cranes and removing existing surfacing or equipment. The inspection also covers mapping underground water, gas, power, and drainage issues. We also ensure the area is free from roots, trees, or plants and remove excess soil; however, these factors can affect the installation process* and costs.
*Local permits are vital to process before installation; please note that a license’s processing time and validation may vary from state to state.
2. Installation Process
The next stage in the process is the actual installation. A KOMPAN playground installation process includes project supervision, safety surfacing, landscaping, and core installation.
Playgrounds are only safe when all items and equipment are correctly installed. Therefore, assembly and installation need to be carried out by professionals. Our KOMPAN technicians work according to all local safety standards, regulations, and stringent KOMPAN guidelines and installation manuals.
3. Post-installation inspection
Our commercial playground installation service will take you carefully through the regulations before construction. Once your public playground is installed, we will do a full delivery inspection to ensure that all the details are ideally in place and that all safety requirements are compliant.

To meet all customer needs, we offer different types of service and repair agreements: Even though our playground structures are designed to withstand the test of time and hours of play, regular inspections of the overall facilities are required.

What to expect?

It is therefore safe to assume that our professional installers have worked with virtually any playground equipment, landscape, and situation imaginable.
Depending on the size of your playground project, you can expect lots of knocked-down parts and pieces of equipment. Knocked down indicates that the equipment is not assembled*.
If you have decided to install the playground yourself, unloading the truck is a big task, and you need several people to help unload the truck. Your responsibility is also to store the order in a safe, dry space.
We only employ experienced and certified technicians and provide regular training in the latest safety standards. This way, we contribute to a safe playing environment.
*It will take approximately one month to install a commercial playground; however, lead times are only estimates and may fluctuate.
