St Rose of Lima got in touch with us as the head teacher invested in similar kit from a previous primary school she worked at and saw the benefits it provided. She saw firsthand what positive impact playground equipment has on children. St Rose of Lima wanted to replicate the child development, collaboration, raise attainment, and improvement on health and wellbeing of their pupil’s.

The school was a concrete jungle which had no play value, the school wanted to add safe playground equipment for the children to have a challenge to tackle again and again. Which our trim trail (agility trail 6) was the perfect solution for budget, capacity and for multiple age ranges to play with. Trim Trails make excellent additions to school playgrounds as they offer challenge for all ages, particularly the younger ones. Each element encourages pupils to test themselves, building confidence and resilience as they work towards completing the full trail. Along the way, they strengthen their gross motor skills and improve balance, all while having fun!

The introduction of our newly installed trim trail is already having a significant positive impact on children’s development and learning. By engaging with the equipment, pupils are improving their coordination, balance, and overall fitness, while also building resilience as they challenge themselves to complete different elements. The trim trail encourages teamwork and cooperation, with children supporting and motivating each other to succeed. These experiences are not only enhancing their physical health but are also translating into improved focus, confidence, and behaviour in the classroom, which in turn is contributing to higher levels of engagement and attainment in their learning.

Improved Communication and Collaboration

St Rose of Lima has seen a rise in peer collaboration, with students taking turns, communicating effectively, and older children supporting younger ones as they tackle the full trim trail. Teachers have also noticed improved focus and behaviour in the classroom, as students return with energy positively channelled after an engaging playground experience. The trim trail has not only encouraged cooperation across different age groups but is also helping children grow into successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens, and effective contributors.
