City of Moreton Bay Council approached KOMPAN for a new playground to enhance Pelican Parks play value. The aim was to create a nautical-themed playground that appealed to kids of all ages, encouraging positive play and inviting families to visit Pelican Park. The playground equipment would need to promote physical, social, creative, and cognitive development and would also need to withstand the coastal environment.

KOMPAN provided Pelican Park with a playground design incorporating ocean-themed equipment to match the coastal aesthetic, including a . The equipment was made from a coastal-hardy material that would protect it from the harsh environment, ensuring it would last for decades. The diversity of equipment allowed for a wealth of play value, enabling kids to climb, hang, crawl, slide, and engage in themed role-play, giving them the opportunity to become a pirate!

What steps were involved in this project?
