Creating a garden themed play space
Northern Beaches Council approached KOMPAN to build a new playground next to the community gardens, creating a bespoke addition to a beautiful community space. The customer wanted to align with the community garden's local environmental and sustainable values through a garden-themed timber play structure. Most importantly, the customer wanted the playground to appeal to a range of ages and skills, offering physical and cognitive play activities.

The outcome? An engaging custom pumpkin play structure
KOMPAN provided a pumpkin-themed play piece custom-built to meet the requirements of the customer, which includes a , climbing net, and to appeal to the physical development needs of children, while also implementing that enable creative and cognitive development. Made from FSC-certified hardwood, the play piece is durable, robust, and easily maintained.
The offers endless play value, allowing kids to develop climbing, balance, coordination, and strength skills, while also fostering rudimentary emotional, creative, social, and cognitive skills.
The customer was thrilled with the result of their custom play piece, bringing smiles to kids' faces as they climb inside and experience a unique play experience.

Once finalised, safety measures compliant with regulations will be implemented to protect the public and maintain a secure working environment. With everything in place, our expert installation team can begin work. Your local KOMPAN project manager will oversee the entire process on-site to ensure a smooth installation and will keep you updated every step of the way.
6. Final inspection & handover
Once the project is complete, your project manager and the wider team will carry out quality assurance checks and a thorough safety inspection, assessing all equipment, surfacing, and structural elements. After this is completed, we’ll proceed with the handover, providing you with an independent playground audit along with your own maintenance manual and warranty documents.
7. Maintenance and warranty
Even though our playground equipment comes with leading warranties and is designed to stand the test of time, regular inspections of the overall facilities are strongly recommended to ensure compliance and safety.
