customer case
Having been a previous customer on a project back in 2022, KOMPAN were invited to draw up some early design proposals for this play area revamp. The existing play area was old, tired and had gone through many years of minor repair. The existing play area was around 20-30 years old, with some very out of date play equipment.
A working group was formed by the parish council, and we worked closely with them to tweak the quote and design proposal before a formal tender process took place. The open tender saw twelve companies showing interest, so it became a very highly competitive process.
KOMPAN were thrilled to be nominated as the winning proposal, and worked tirelessly with the working group to further amend the design to match the consultation results of the wider community to keep everyone happy.
The parish were delighted with the end result and held an official opening day on 21st April 2025 where the local community came together to see what all the fuss had been about. The working group were very impressed with the materials used and the level of detail KOMPAN applied throughout the entire design process, right through to the installation handover. Plus, from a sustainability point of view, it was great to see play equipment constructed from ocean waste materials, reducing the carbon footprint impact for the local community and the greater good of the planet.
This is a fantastic space, with a modern village hall building, a great cricket set up, a wonderful modern running track around the perimeter and now a new inclusive, exciting and greener play area. The feedback has been fantastic!
