A city devastated by climate changes

The city of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler has experienced the devastating consequences of climate change. In 2021 parts of the city was flooded by water from the nearby river, ruining public spaces and residents' houses.

As a result, the city council decided that the new playground should have a greener profile. They chose a lower carbon emission GreenLine playground made from waste materials like textile, plastic bags and fishing nets.

It is nice that we have created something that is fun for the children, and has a low carbon emission impact.

Guido Orthen, Mayor of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler

An educating playground

Beside teaching fundamental life skills through play, this GreenLine playground also educates children on the environment. GreenLine playgrounds has lower on carbon emissions by being made from recycled waste like textile, plastic bags and worn out fishing nets.
