Customer case

Rosebank SEN School caters for SEND children with an array of additional needs. Their existing playground was lacking in excitement and had a play piece with limited play value and that was becoming boring and unsafe to their students.
Understanding the customers need for a reliable and efficient solution (to their issue), KOMPAN discussed their range and suggested a themed item such as one of our . The customer loved this idea and we worked together to configure the product so that it become as inclusive to all as possible. We added different types of climbing accesses, full DDA stairs and lots of ground level panels to offer numerous levels of play.
The feedback on the Pirate ship has been amazing! This project has emphasised inclusivity which really aligns with KOMPAN’s commitment to create play spaces for all user types.
We also incorporated our structural steel with it’s lifetime warranty and our which are hugely sustainable to ensure longevity and to be kind to our environment.

“The Pirate ship has been in hot demand! Children swarming all over it! We are delighted!”
Lizzie Wiffen, School Business Manager
The Pirate ship offers lots of sensory and tactile play, interactive elements and experiences that aren’t all physical. The physical play elements offered include climbing, sliding, crawling, play at height, balance and coordination. This piece is fantastic for exploring and burning off excess energy between classes, or providing a much needed role play/imagination exercise for a brain break from learning.
