The Cosmos Multi Sport puts a slight twist on the play area. Coming in five sizes the shape remains the same, being octagonal, and using HDPE boards makes life easier for the little athletes. The High Density Polyethylene Sheets are a forgiving surface for any wayward shot, keeping the ball in play and with no corners, the action constantly flows. In addition, the goal areas are narrower at the top than the base, encouraging ground level play, reducing the need for goalkeepers and again keeping pace of the action fast and furious. Kick-about games are great for social interaction, competitive yet fostering friendships and promoting active and healthy lifestyles. The Cosmos, like the rest of the multisport arena range, is an open invite for passing kids to stop and ask, ‘may I join?’ A basketball hoop at the correct NBA height, hovers temptingly above the goalmouth, so there’s a choice of sporting activities.

How many can play at any one time?
The various sizes determine how many can participate. The nature of the arenas and what sport is being played tends to self-balance the numbers. The Cosmos reduces the need for goalkeepers. Most teens have groups of close friends, the perfect number for a quick game. Soccer is said to have eleven-aside because they ‘borrowed’ their first rules from cricket. Somehow that number seems to fit perfectly onto a pitch.
What is the difference between an arena and a stadium?
Stadiums tend to be larger seating capacity, American Football, soccer and rugby are played in stadiums. Ice hockey, basketball and handball in arenas, usually to audiences of less that 20,000. The word arena incidentally comes from the Roman name for the sand used to cover the ground after a bloody gladiatorial fight.
