Landesgardenschau

This playground was built when Bayreuth hosted the Bavarian State Garden Show under the slogan "Music for the eyes". A new near-neutral park was designed, and the huge net climbing structure was designed to fit into the theme, with a structure that sets new standards in playground design.

The design consists of a three-dimensional surface stretched over pylons, executed using close-meshed, swinging nets. Giant spheres in the net invite children to linger. Children discover routes through the net structure in a highly imaginative way, bouncing and swinging as they do so, and learn how to balance and climb.
