The first GreenLine playground in Australia

This playground meets the ambitious sustainability targets set by the council by being made from waste like textiles, plastic bags, and fishing nets. It is the first dedicated GreenLine playground (low carbon emission playground) in Australia. Located in a quiet suburb of Mitcham, South Australia, the playground was revitalized by the local council in an attempt to increase the city's sustainable initiatives.

What I love, is its sustainable credentials. Mitcham is taking the lead on sustainability (...) so in all of our procurements sustainability is right up there with cost and design.

Tim Birkett, Open Space Asset Officer, City of Mitcham

A playground for the children and their future

The GreenLine playground provides a space where the children of Mitcham can explore and grow. The spinning carousel and swings train the children's balance and spatial awareness, all while the shaded climbing structure challenges their ability to climb and cross-coordinate. The slide down is a reward that gives a sense of thrill and grows their confidence.
