The beam moves as soon as a child stands on it, so you really have to use your sense of balance to get to the other side! Children have to plan their movements well and have a clear strategy of how to reach the other side as quickly as possible. It's especially difficult when other children keep coming after you in the track because then all beams start to move in various directions. Thus, children learn to act and react to different situations and have to change their strategy in order to reach the other side as speedily as possible.
