Robinia Ships
Ahoy mates! All aboard.
In reality pirates were perhaps not the most attractive people to suggest themselves as play icons, but then children love the hint of danger in their adventures. With this lingering menace, pirates fall into the same story-generating arena as ogres, dragons and ghosts.
No two pirate captains were identical, they had their own flag and often dressed just to be distinctive. This is also the case with KOMPAN’s pirate ships. The Robinia wood determines that each of the play features is different. The wood also creates a feeling of authenticity, and the ships, filled with places to hide, to climb, to role play, help mould the young buccaneer’s character, communication ability and physical development. These are more than hours of play, they are voyages of self-discovery.
