Tensegrity

Wow! The intriguing ropes of the Tensegrity motivate children to climb, balance and bounce, over and over. The rungs are suspended as one unit. So the unit sways and bounces back the child's movements, adding an element of thrill and concentration to every step. The Tensegrity stimulates the sense of balance and the spatial awareness. The sense of balance is basic for being able to sit still on a chair and concentrate. The climbers need to cooperate when passing each other in the Tensegrity. This trains important social-emotional skills such as turn-taking, empathy and negotiation. The top ropes are great seat, swaying with friends, too. The sides of the Tensegrity have steel bars that are great handholds or balance support. Additionally they function as destinations and bouncy seats. A truly bouncy unit to meet and move in.
