The Launceston City Council worked with the local skaters to come up with an ideal skatepark layout that suited the skaters needs. In late 2005 a Rhino Skatepark was installed at Torrens Street, Mayfield. The skatepark received both television and newspaper coverage and has been well received by the community.

The Rhino skatepark has been positioned alongside a bmx track and has become a place for the kids to meet. The park is used by children as young as 5 as well as adults. Rhino’s solid and durable ramps are designed by skaters for skaters.
