Equipment – Argo: Supernova, Corocord, Hammock, Slides

The Princess Park playgound was designed by the Hobart City Council and is positioned in Battery Point. The playground is popular with children from as young as 2 up to the age of 12 as it has a wide variety of play equipment, some of which is Kompan equipment.

The Playground has a nautical theme and the Galaxy supernova plays the part of the ‘lifering’. The large slanting ring is set in motion by the children turning, spinning or attempting to balance. The supernova has countless play options, a single child can engage in exploring its possibilities, but together with a whole group of children, this play item expresses its real potential.

The argo also tests one’s sense of balance and can be used individually or with others. If you’re unlucky enough to fall off the sand below makes for a soft landing. Adding to Princess parks’ nautical theme is the Corocord hammock. The hammock can be a resting place but can also become a large swing for the 3-8 year olds.
