High technology and craftsmanship go hand-in-hand

Methods of production have changed radically since the first KOMPAN items of play equipment were launched onto the market in 1970. Although, even then, the goal was to manufacture products of high quality, but technology was not as far advanced as it is today. Much of what we do today with computer controlled precision tools, in the seventies had to be made by hand with a good eye for measurements. In addition, many of our present materials, which are extremely durable and environmentally friendly, were not developed at KOMPAN until some years later.
 

KOMPAN aims for better rather than good

The manufacture of play equipment from KOMPAN is the result of years of experience and a solid knowledge of materials and their uses. Our constant aim is to achieve a "zero-error production" even though we know that no one has as yet realised this objective. However, we can safely say that we have gradually drawn nearer this goal during the last decade. Today KOMPAN play equipment is manufactured with the help of the most advanced technology, guaranteeing the highest level of quality production, precision and durability. However, despite advanced technology the employees in production have remained craftsmen at heart, allowing KOMPAN to support and uphold all the advantages of traditional craftsmanship. And when it comes to that famous finishing touch, no machinery can ever replace a well-trained eye and years of experience.
