At KOMPAN we see the world from the child’s perspective. When designing playgrounds for toddlers this means, quite literally, getting down on our hands and knees and taking a good look around! In addition to height, their physique and attention span makes the world a new and demanding place for toddlers to find their way around in. The playspace should contain clear play signals, colours, contrasts and sensory stimulating items.
Never forget that to the toddler, play is learning, so the more age-appropriate the playground, the safer, more pleasurable and educational the time spent – not just for the children but their parents too.
