Play and learning
Play is essential to human beings. To play is to experience pleasure and gain important skills at the same time. To children play is the way of exploring the world around them. Through play children build their social, physical, cognitive, emotional and creative skills.


To many adults learning means going to school. But in fact some of the life skills many adults value, but take for granted, are not automatically part of children’s existence today: Many children think that a chicken is something deep frozen or fried and do not link the word to a living animal, which lay eggs. In fact many children would believe it if told that eggs grow out of the ground and apples are made in a factory. To schools, this is a challenge.
